Zell an der Mosel
Get to know the beautiful landscape of the Moselle around Zell; the best way to do this is by bike or by taking advantage of the wonderful hiking trails.
The small town of Zell has only about 1500 inhabitants.
Including all districts, Zell has a population of approximately 4,400.
The town of Zell Mosel, whose Latin name "Cella" stands in interesting contrast to the Celtic names "Merl" and "Kaimt" of its suburbs, has been the main town in the "Zeller Hamm" (Moselle loop) since ancient times. The more than 2,000-year-old wine-producing town of Zell Mosel invites you to embark on a journey through a rich history, reflected in its impressive buildings, winding alleys, and, last but not least, its picturesque town center. Its scenic charm and favorable climate make it a magnet for tourists from all over the world.
Historic wine cellars, a museum, boat trips, wine-related activities, and vibrant gastronomy offer a seemingly endless variety of options for your vacation. The extensive hiking trails and attractive excursions in the charming surrounding area offer opportunities for more than just a short break.
